Positive growth.
Since its inception in 2016, the Sheikh Modibbo Jailani Foundation (SMJ) has touched lives across Adamawa, Borno, and beyond. With over 50 schools established, the Foundation is steadily reforming Qur’anic education and reducing the challenges of the traditional Almajiri system.
But his operations taken together are so insignificant, a little chipping, baking, patching, and washing, that in an impression so grand as that of the world on the human mind, they do not vary the result.

Through our programs:
Our work has received support from government agencies and NGOs such as BESDA, SUBEB, UBEC, and the Almajiri Commission.
More than 277 pupils have successfully memorized the entire Qur’an with Tajweed.
Graduation time has been reduced from a lifetime under Almajiri to just 4–5 years.
Communities have witnessed reduced street begging, improved literacy, and stronger moral upbringing.
Families and local leaders are actively supporting schools, with some selling assets to sustain education in their villages.
